2009 PA States State Yo-Yo Pro-Am

Online registration will be available until 12/11. Registrants after 12/11 will be subject to the freestyle rules regarding the inability to choose their music.

This a BYOC event! (Bring Your Own Chairs) The community center does not have chairs, so if you are a spectator or you just don't want to sit on the floor, it is up to you to bring your own seating.

Welcome to the website of the 2009 PA State Yo-Yo Pro-Am! The contest will be held in Bally, PA on December 13th, 2009, from 10am to 5pm. This year's contest is the first to feature a separation of the amateur competitors from the sponsored and professional players, with the title of State Champion going to the highest scoring Single A freestyle by a PA resident in either the professional or amateur division.

The contest will feature the sport ladder division as well as freestyles in 1A-5A. This contest is also sanctioned for World Record attempts if there are any players interested in attempting them. Current world records and requirements for attempts can be located here. PA currently has 2 yo-yo players with world records.

We are requiring players to upload their freestyle music ahead of time this year. There will be no exception to this rule. If you fail to preload your music, you will have to perform in silence, or music will be provided for you. Contestants who register the day of the contest are automatically subject to this rule, without exception. You can use the online registration form, or email your music to tim@themodsquad.org
